Having built in-house production capability, we can 3D print complex propulsion system components, construct full-scale carbon composite structures and fuel tanks, and have avionics and software testing facilities in both Denmark and Scotland. Based in Copenhagen, internship will be deep in the heart of this fast-paced cutting-edge organisation, with a unique insight into what it takes to construct a new launch vehicle for a thriving commercial market.

Project Description:
Your time at Orbex will provide you the opportunity to be engaged in the Propulsion Mechanisms department to assist activities involving, for example:
Assisting with the design of important valves, actuators, and fluid systems;
Taking responsibility of a project from creative design to production and testing; and, Creating and executing test programmes to validate designs.
You will be working alongside some of the most experienced launch vehicle engineers in the business, on a programme that challenges the way rockets are created and manufactured in Europe today. We strive for you to gain:

Applicant Specification:
Orbex is a fast-moving firm with a lot occurring on every day. We are searching for applicants who work hard, deliver reliably, and put the team above themselves. You will hit the ground running, therefore we look for self-starters who can figure things out quickly using their initiative.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undertaking a degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant studies, or searching for an internship to support a Master’s Degree;
- Demonstrable interest and experience in the fields of mechanics or fluid systems;
- Experience in valve and actuator design;
- Demonstrable passion for the launch sector;
- To be based at Copenhagen, Denmark for the duration of the internship;
- Strong English language abilities; and, Must be an EU citizen, or from a nation that is a signatory to the MTCR.

Salary, 10,800DKK each calendar month gross
You will be responsible for selecting your lodging and organising your commute to Copenhagen, and the office each day. Any obligation to travel outside of Copenhagen for work will be completely covered. All equipment required to perform the internship will be given.
We do not assume responsibility for organising or paying for work visas for internships and do not anticipate to pay for any further training courses that you may desire to pursue during the placement period.
